Community development

Socio-sustainable local development with citizen participation
In the project 'Dorfsoziale Mitte' (Village Social Center), a sustainable utilization concept was developed for the town center in Hohenfelde to secure and further enhance community life in the village. Citizens were invited to actively participate in the creation process of the future village center. Through village moderation, workshops, and working groups, specific planning tasks and goals were developed. Planning tasks included the restoration and repurposing of the historically protected parsonage, open spaces, as well as a community hall and a kindergarten. The necessary area sizes and uses were established as a planning foundation through close collaboration with the local government, church representatives, and authorities.

The implementation of individual tasks began with the planning and realization of the community hall.
